Slumdog Millionaire AND ITS OWN Production Framework Film Studies Essay

In this task I am describing the structure and the possession of the UK film industry and exploring the production, syndication and the exhibition of Slumdog Millionaire. I am also looking at the relationship between motion pictures and their development contexts and the partnership between people and motion pictures.

Danny Boyle, a English director, aimed the film, Slumdog Millionaire. It had been about Jamal, who was Dev Patel, grew up in the slums, who then becomes a contestant in 'Who Becomes a Millionaire. ' The occurrences that happen when he was young becomes back again to life, when he is being asked questions in the game show. When people watch the movie everyone will have their own interpretation of what the outcome of the storyplot will be.

The first 50 % of the film, the color, style, and subject matter felt reminiscent of City of God, but Danny Boyle's unique shots alternatives and humour separates the film that beats all others. The second one half of the film does indeed slow down a lttle bit and the story book ending makes you feel great inside, but it doesn't always bring critics accolades. The little bit that drawn the visitors the most was the ethnic and interpersonal issues highlighted throughout the film. The poverty, assault caused by poverty, and spiritual discrimination was very common throughout the film. Danny Boyle select certain shots showing the poverty and desperation of the people of India, with no dialogue he retained the interpersonal and cultural framework all-visual.

Some elements of the film were from a Hollywood style, where they had performers from America, M. I. A. The movie confirmed some negative areas of India, where they were slums, poverty, prostitution and robbery.

The young children resorting to assault for food and shelter becomes sometimes heroic. Small children finding their way to survive and having to mature a long time before their time. India in the past 10 years has drastically evolved the country's financial standing growing the middle category from the climb of industry. DISCUSS Kids AND GIRLS

The characteristics of Inde Motion pictures are: They are really largely driven, they relate specific to a wider cultural/cultural background, narrative are remaining often, some do/some don't have closure, there can be an focus on a documentary style and photography, they deal with real current interpersonal issues, narratives can be circular cut up back again to forward and sometimes simple too, they often deny generic expectation, and independent films generally have lower budgets, minimal or undiscovered 'stars', and they are shot on location.

The English and the French were the ones who created the equipment that were needed to make a movie. After the World War took place, the British experienced improved, where they couldn't make any more movies. The American had an opportunity to produce quality movies and produce more.

Vertical Integration is a method of management control. It is a process of steps in the production, syndication and exhibition of the movie product that are then owned or operated by way of a company.

The big 5 were: Warner, MGM, Paramount, 20th Century Fox and R. KO. They are actually: Disney, 20th Century Fox, Common, Paramount, Columbia, and Warner Brothers. The five possessed their own studios, syndication divisions, and theatres. They also signed contracts with actors, actresses, and other filmmaking employees. That they had the scriptwriting, filming, development, and the distribution of a movie. THE TINY Three are: Common Pictures, Columbia, and United Studios. THE TINY 3 had few or no theatres, so there was no built in promise that the films that they made would be shown. All of them lacked one of the three elements required in vertical integration getting their own theatres.

The casting of Slumdog Millionaire created and targeted towards different audience segments by looking at the the majority of the famous Bollywood Superstars in India, Anil Kapoor who is the Millionaire host in the film. Anil Kapoor is a famous Indian Professional who appears generally in most famous Bollywood motion pictures. Slumdog Millionaire was Anil Kapoors first role within an international film. Frieda Pinto, is another famous Indian professional, she was starred at Latika. Before she was starred in Slumdog Millionaire, she was modelling for an organization called Top notch Model Management India for just two years. Frieda got triumphed in eight Oscars for the film. Her life was altered as she embarked on a promotional head to across the world, residing in five-star hotels and being driven by chauffeurs. Irfan Khan can be an Indian Professional in film, television and theatre. Within the movie, Slumdog Millionaire, Irfan Khan has a role to be a police force inspector, who he investigates if Jamal cheated in the game show or revealing to the reality. A R Rahman produced usually all of the Bollywood soundtracks. Slumdog Millionaire sometimes sounds like an assortment of random parts that don't possess much regarding one another. The soundtracks were created with specific visuals in mind. The songs, O. . . Saya was one of both nominated paths for Best Song at the Oscars, and the other success being Jai Ho. The past is genuine with abundant may seem mirroring the Mumbai cityscape. Jai ho is an essential Rahman track, finished with his most liked vocalist, Sukhvinder Singh. In arena 5 M. I. A make an appearance in Paper Planes, the keep track of is laid back and carefree. Within the first landscape A R Rahman uses M. I. A to sing, from Hollywood, different an American audience. The soundtrack is actually important to India.

Cross Media Possession is in which a company possesses different media in press. This is awful for Democracy, there is no motivation for the reporters to investigate and receive the story, because the ownership alone determines what media is and what isn't and there is no competition for visitors/readers. It's important because it allows the movie and the companies to get more attention by the audiences. If they wanted to watch a movie they might have to spend money to see it, that will give more income to the company.

The slums kids acquired enjoyed the knowledge of the movie. The slum kids didn't have to do something, they just had to be natural in front of the camera. The slums lived on the side of the rail songs, which were made out of plastic bed linens with tinned roofs. After their movie had been successful, they were invited to the Oscars where these were being interviewed, get together Hollywood celebrities and they could walk on the red carpet. The movie was showing the viewers how these were moving into such conditions in India.

In conclusion, the viewers were attracted to the Hollywood film style, and weren't not watching the Western european film style. The Western european film style needed to be altered so more audiences could watch it. Hollywood was high up in the market, where they could find the money for to make 3D films.
