Nevertheless people in Zambia have commented on this issue, for example when Robbinson was consecrated Bishop, the Bishop of Central Diocese Bishop Kamukwamba commented on 12th December, 2003 in an interview in Lusaka, the article that appeared on the site Anglican Evangelical Ministries, that the Bishops in Zambia were contrary to the act because it is not biblical and was unchristian. He said the Anglican Church will not relate itself or support gays. He said, however ties with Anglican churches that attempted to avoid the ordination will be looked after. He said we ought to support and pray for others to avoid further temptations. Another comment came from Bishop Mumbi of Luapula Diocese, just recently, in his capacity as Zambia Anglican Council Chairman explained as quoted inside the Church of England Paper (2010) that but the Western is promoting homosexual lifestyle it is against Religious idea and African beliefs. Christianity should be considered a religion which should show a good example of good morals, at the same time love and peacefulness should be proclaimed to everyone irrespective of their sexuality. The chapel is the institution for sinners and no-one should be discriminated.


The problem of homosexuality has been around for time immemorial, and it will remain with us so long as people continue to exist. But as the church we should approach it with caution, with understanding and discussion so that people may achieve our goal as individuals who are geared to result in the kingdom of God. God allows each one of us as we are, so we ought to accept each other even as are. So as the Anglican Church and the Arch bishop Williams want for just how out of this issue, which is threatening to split the church, they must accept and co-exist with the people with homosexual problem in order to help them.
