Modern and traditional architecture

The architecture of the country acts just like a reflection for understanding the way of living as well as the developments of the area that have resulted in the creation of the united states as it looks today. The architecture of an country provides an insight into a country's developments over the years. Many times architecture also helps us forecast which kind of traditions have been followed in the country over a huge span of energy. The thesis mainly handles analyzing if the path of development of architecture used by UAE after witnessing an oil increase is justified or not with an aim to understand the role of petrol boom in the introduction of UAE's architecture. The thesis also handles analyzing if the country has lost its traditional heritage by building highly modernized structures. The thesis deals with the important subject of deciding whether a country is going with its traditional methods or would go towards highly modernized structures in order to attract greater number of vacationers and earn higher revenues or should it maintain steadily its traditional structures which is unique to a country. In my own view for a country it's important to plan its architecture in a way that it promotes earnings and also retains some uniqueness for the united states this may be achieved only once the country's organizers opt to develop their structures keeping in mind the customs of the united states.

Islamic architecture mainly handles the architectural designs that are influenced by Islam Mosques, tombs, palaces and forts form an important part of the Islamic culture (Islamic structures explanation). Traditional architecture mainly means architectural designs that are common to a location. These buildings might not form part of the highly modernized buildings of once and might implement simpler systems in their structure.

Traditional architecture is often known as vernacular structures and is principally used to explain methods of development designed to use the resources and customs of the location to which they belong (Vernacular Structures). These mainly constitute the normal buildings which have been developed over time and usually represent the ethnical environmental and historical contexts of the place where they progress. The designs created by architects usually involve many physical and geometrical computations in order to develop a design and make it a physical entity but the vernacular architecture is mainly transported by practices and is bottom on knowledge that is gained by the learning from your errors methods and are then passed on to generations. They often do not involve complex engineering.

The vernacular architecture of UAE has characteristics very much like several other gulf countries. The vernacular structures of UAE shows evidences of its reliance on the natural environment of UAE. The impact of economic, social and social factors is also easily noticeable in the original architecture of UAE. The original structures was mainly due to concentration of individuals in a spot as the populace was very unevenly sent out and was concentrated more in areas where drinking water was available. The concentration of inhabitants in old times in the Abu Dhabi because of the presence of normal water and palm trees and shrubs in the town of Al Ain is quite apparent and also Dubai was a home for a huge no. of people due to its location at the entry of an curving creek also called khoor which advertised trade. The engineering of forts and citadels also produced an important part of the vernacular architecture of UAE. Al Hisn fort at Abu Dhabi is an excellent example of structures. Islamic architecture comprises of a variety of secular and spiritual designs and structures that have been created from your day when Islam was found to the present day. The mosque, the tomb, the fort and the palace are the four main types of Islamic structures (Islamic architecture meaning).

The Islamic structures is commonly characterized by domes and ceilings, wall space and vaults, large interior areas and Arches and columns. (Characteristics of Islamic structures). A number of the famous holiday sites like the Burj Dubai are also affected by the Islamic architectural styles and techniques.

Modern Structures is a kind of architecture that has led to the simplification of form. It has also led to the use of the theme and structure of a building to create highly attractive structures. The first variations of the modern structures were seen very early in the 20th century but they have grown to be popular only after the Second World Battle and today also have become a consultant of modern structures.

The discovery of oil resulted in a rise in wealth for UAE. As a result of this increase in the income and identifying the necessity to build new properties the countries taking care of authorities set up planning departments in order to plan the introduction of places and villages in the country. The city of UAE started modernizing as a result of increased income to invest on such items and this modernization was also observed in the field of architecture. In the 1970s and 1980s after witnessing an essential oil boom which resulted in exterior income for the federal government the federal government of UAE required the initiative to build public houses for its residents. (Architectural styles in Dubai)

In the period of seventies and eighties almost all of the buildings built were predicated on modern architectural styles which were imported from other areas of the world. This era saw an important role of architects from traditional western countries in the introduction of Dubai. The structures built used highly complex and modern technologies for building various kinds of architecture (Architectural styles in Dubai).

Example of open public housing project

The age of 1970s and 1980s was an era of modern structures in UAE. The look of modern structures was due to increased revenues following the oil increase which led to large amount of revenues for the government, in the same period the government made a decision to build structures to fulfill needs and also to increase profits for the united states by producing new tourist destinations which could entice visitors from all around the world and lead to a fresh source of earning gains for the people of the country and would also lead to a decrement in its reliance on olive oil as a income source. As a result during this period the government offered as the key planner through various planning departments and the architects from various areas of the planet were called to develop these projects as the projects involved modern technology which were not used to UAE. hence these organizers offered as the builders of modern UAE.

In the nineties the country saw a fresh pattern in architectural innovations the developments of the period include a mixture of modern and traditional architecture of UAE. This period also saw replacements in the properties built during seventies to become more related to the spot. This trend is continuing right now and right now the buildings are designed keeping in mind the customs and modernization aspects of architecture

At last I would like to conclude that although UAE was growing only on the basis of modernization in the seventies but after a short interval of time the designers and planners understood the cultural and traditional wealth of UAE and the existing architectural design is a mix of both modern and traditional varieties of architecture.
