The Roman Culture In Society

Roman Culture

The Roman culture traits set alongside the traits of the society now are incredibly similar. The worthiness of education, how males used to dominate, and most essentially the want and trust of material prosperity. In the Ancient Romans the men would dominate the family and could be the bread winner of the family, while the women remained at home and do the home work. While this is similar to how the United States did the trick some time back, it still has some lingering affects in our world. The value of education was very important to the Roman culture, the individuals then knew if they wished to make something of themselves that they would need to complete institution. Even before the universities were around the kids were taught Roman laws, customs and physical activities for the boys so they would learn for the army. Girls usually received the training of fine art like content spinning, weaving and sewing. The desire and want for materials wealth will be around and it does not surprise me by any means so it even existed during this time period. Yet another way that the culture attributes are still similar today is the belief of God and church. A large part of our society are in this same opinion and if you ask me I don't think there is in close proximity to enough people who still live their life this way. Region is such a big part of my entire life and I observe how much it is helped me in my life I simply think from personal experience what it might do for so a great many other people. Latin books became very well known and well used once Christianity began to dominate. Combined with the Roman Catholics which we still have today, the Roman culture in comparison to our culture very similar. Roman books was inspired very heavily by Greek writers. One can see who Romans cultural traits remain within today's population by learning the way the Romans performed things. By learning how Romans lived daily and how metropolis worked daily all of the similarities will just start to pop out.

Daily life for the Romans is little or nothing from the unusual, in simple truth is actually nothing at all that someone inside our world would be doing. Romans would go for marketing shopping, trading bank, and for taking part in festivities and ceremonies. The locations revolved around a Website, which is similar to the central business district. The Forum was a location where people could express themselves and present their personal judgment and also obtain others views about different issues. Before sunrise the children would go to college and the elders would get right up eat breakfast time nap in the evening and then go directly to the Forum. These activities don't appear any different from the activities that people participate in. Outside of the city there have been the farms ran by the plantation supervisor, sometimes the owners of the house would retreat with their countryside to rest and enjoy the outdoors pursuits like hunting, angling and using. Music was aside of everyday life in the Old Rome. Many private and open public events were combined with music, which range from nightly eating to military parades. Today folks have to be reminded that what makes our modern music familiar to us, our ideas of melody, scales, harmony and even the instruments we use is because of the Romans made it familiar to us who listened to music many ages earlier. Music is such a big part in our life today and is employed to celebrate various things and honor as well as worship. In the beginning of architecture reflected elements of architectural styles of the Greeks, but over a period, the style was modified in tune using their metropolitan requirements, and the civil executive and building construction technology became developed and processed. The Roman concrete has remained mysterious just like a riddle, and even after more than 2000 years some of ancient Roman structures still stand strong like the Pantheon (with one of the greatest single span domes in the world) positioned in the business district of today's Rome.

After critiquing and seeing how the Romans lived one could see the similarities of the cultures of our world today. Activities are another similarity the kids like to go to these playgrounds and play and exercise. A number of the activities included sports, swimming, football, boxing, jumping, using, field hockey, and other sorts of activities. Around the countryside the guys like to hunt and fish. The girls did not participate in these outdoors activities. They even had some board video games that the kids would play if indeed they had bad weather like chess, checkers and tic-tac-toe, which we still, have these game titles today and some utilize them in their everyday life. Dating back to 800 BC when Rome was founded there is some religious values, however the Roman religion did not start until around 500 BC when the Romans arrived in touch with the Greek culture. The Romans adopted many of the Greek's values like the opinion of any god in human being form. Although Rome was ran by Kings some can still find similarity with this President today. We have all of the activities inside our lifestyle and plus some. I do think that our population has came a long way from the Old Rome no matter how hard we make an effort to change things and make a difference on earth our life will be similar to many different cultures not just the Romans and the Greeks. I feel that if you look how close the Romans culture is to the Greek culture, you can come up with explanations of why we live like this today. After the Romans saw the way the Greeks performed things they picked up some of there ways and tweaked them a little and made them their own, same way that people do or how other countries do from us. I think that this will still be how our world works. We will always be similar with techniques no one is aware, unless analyzed.
