Animal plantation and Macbeth have many commons elements that can be paralleled between the two reviews. The both show elements such as ability famished tyrants who go to extremes to secure their electric power and use other as scapegoats. Even though both tyrants have similar goals they both have very different method of reaching them.
Napoleon and Macbeth have similar goals but both chose very different paths in attaining their goals. Napoleon is the kind of leader that is not very onward about his motives and gradually secures his power with smart manipulation and propaganda. Napoleon enslaves the pets or animals through mental manipulation, "all pets or animals worked well like slaves, but were happy in their work; they grudged no effort or sacrifice". (Canine farm site 12) He stunts the family pets and preys after their innocence. The commandments that napoleon lay out in the beginning are often changed to advantage the pigs so when the animals question the pigs "squealer can persuade them that their memory had been responsible". (Animal plantation. pg 10)Napoleon revises these commandments whenever he wishes so that as he changes these commandments he gradually converts the pets into slaves. Finally all the animal's rights are stripped away and napoleon makes himself supreme rules when he commences hauling a whip and really the only commandment still left is "all pets or animals are equal, but some are more similar than others"(animal plantation pg. 53) Lastly all the pets or animals are told a windmill must be constructed to produce electricity for the farm to make life easier, however this is just an ploy to make Napoleon richer because the windmill "was used for milling corn and earned a good-looking money profit"(animal plantation pg. 50). It is quite obvious that napoleon is manipulative ruler who enslaves the pets through trickery.
Macbeth gets the same basic goal as Napoleon and needs to attain electric power and secure it. However he has very different methods, he uses assault and abuse to secure his vitality. After he does as he pleases to achieve power Macbeth kills the ruler in cold bloodstream who he previously swore commitment to, this plainly shows Macbeth treacherous personality. Once again it is shown that Macbeth is eager to visit an extreme to attain power when he says "The Prince of Cumberland! That is a step which I must fall down, if not o'erleap, for in my own way it lays. "(1. 4. 48 - 51) this implies that Macbeth can be an extremist and can eliminate anyone for electricity. He feels his electric power is ultimate and he must response to know one and can eliminate whoever he wants this characteristic is seen when he says "With barefaced electricity sweep him from my eyesight" (3. 1. 120). Since Macbeth seems he's supreme he supply the order "hang all who speak of fear" (5. 3. 37) since he order to have people who didn't commit any criminal offense it once more shows that Macbeth does as he desires. Another example is when he has Malcolm's family murdered, we were holding people who did not harm Macbeth in any way but he has them murdered simply because he wishes those to die. It really is clear that Macbeth is a ruthless tyrant would you as he pleases, kills who ever before he needs and right answers to no one.
Both Napoleon and Macbeth are tyrants that go to great span to safeguard their power. They have confidence in killing or going after away anyone who undermines their ability. Macbeth expresses his concerns regarding his situation with Banquo when he says "Being thus is little or nothing, but to be easily. Our fears in Banquo remain deep, and in his royalty of nature". (3. 1. 50-52)Due to his matter Macbeth has Banquo assassinated because he seems it'll secure his electricity which is demonstrated when he says "who wear our health and wellness but sickly in his life, which in his loss of life were perfect". (3. 1. 109-110) Banquo is punished for absolutely no reason, he didn't commit any crime and Macbeth achieved it limited to his selfish reason. Napoleon is also in similar situation which his comrade snowball. Napoleon seems threatened by Snowball because "the two disagreed on at every point where disagreement was possible" (dog farm pg. 10) and "snowball often acquired the majority along with his great speeches" (creature plantation pg. 10). Due to napoleons feeling of soreness he has Snowball chased from the plantation by pack of hungry puppies. Also when people speak about that they choose snowballs leader ship over Napoleons that are wiped out. Both tyrants are the kind of individuals that eliminate any danger that stands in the way.
The tyrants are both warriors and play big tasks in fights. Macbeth is fearless general who's praised by all. The captain praises him and says "Brave Macbeth-well he deserves that name" (1. 2. 116). The king makes him thane of Cawdor. It really is quite clear that he is praised because of his bravery and valor in battle. This fondness that folks develop for him empowers him greatly. Napoleon on the other palm did not do anything in the battle of cowshed and snowball received much glory. However down the road snowball uses his magic with words to make everyone believe napoleon was the courageous warrior and received dog hero first class as his rewards. Despite the fact that napoleon has already bought out he still becomes empowered because of it. This also helps Napoleon use Snowball as a scapegoat and convince them that he is evil.
To protect their electric power Napoleon and Macbeth use scapegoats to take the blame and keep their image clean. After Snowball is chased from the plantation" when ever anything went wrong it became attributed to snowball". (Orwell pg. 38) Also whenever a key is lost "the whole farm is persuaded that snowball had thrown it down the well". However even after "the mislaid key is available under a sack of food, the pets still blame snowball" (Orwell pg. 38) Snowball can be used to spur hatred to the humans. When Napoleon is wanting to sell his timber but neither plantation makes him good offers "it was pointed out that whenever he felt on the idea of coming for an arrangement with Fredrick, snowball was declared concealing on Foxwood, when napoleon was willing towards Pilinkgton, snowball as said to be on the other farm"(Orwell pg 40) Lastly squeal constantly says the animals with the loss of freedom and inform them that Napoleon's authority is absolute and when they question him he always says "you don't want Jones to come back can you" and the pets or animals are scared and stop all questions. Macbeth also comes after an extremely similar method. He uses the ruler son and gets the suspicion placed on them and macduff shows this by saying "Malcolm and Donaldbain the kings two sons are stolen and fled, which put them under suspicion". (2. 4. 25-26)Also in order to find the murders co-operation Macbeth he explains to them "both of you know Banquo is your enemy"(3. 1. 116-117).
A characteristic that Macbeth and Napoleon do not share is the support system. Napoleon has band of pigs that support and are incredibly beneficial to him. Macbeth however will not use support system and does indeed everything by himself. Napoleon uses his dogs to strike dread into the pets, "no one dared speak their head, with fierce growling puppies"(Orwell pg. 52)Also Napoleon uses squealer who has great electric power with words as he can " transform black into white"(Orwell pg. 6) and he uses his expertise to control the family pets and gain support. Eventually napoleon develops an extremely large support group and seldom appeared in public. When he do emergeit was with several pigs and an escort of six puppies who closely encircled him and growled if anyone came to near" (Orwell pg. 30) Macbeth on the other hand is very lonesome person. He will not obtain nay help from friends to grab the throne. The only real individuals who helped him are chosen thugs who do not value Macbeths wellbeing only their money. He even isolates himself from his better half, when she asks him "what is to be achieved" (3. 1. 44), he replies"be innocent of knowledge" and leaves her out of his plans.
In both e book parallels can be drawn between your plots. Both tyrants follow different paths but have the same basic goal. The tyrants are vitality hungry and will do anything to secure their vitality. The tyrants think of themselves as ultimate rulers and do anything they please. The major difference in both reserve are that Macbeth specializes in the pain of Macbeth and animal farm specializes in the pain of the pets or animals.
