Websters dictionary define self-esteem as "a confidence and satisfaction in oneself" ("Self-esteem, " 2010). Many market leaders have low self-esteem due to many reasons. Some market leaders compare themselves to other market leaders. You are unable to compare you to ultimately another leader because their motives and aim are usually unique of your own. Some market leaders allow the people who encircle them impact their ideas. For instance, if you are developing a new strategy for a business. You are more likely to succeed in a command position if you encompass yourself with supportive people (Campbell & Martinez-Perez, 1977, pp. 455-459).
The author is convinced there are two types of self-esteem. You could have positive self-esteem and negative self-esteem. Positive self-esteem is having an 'I can accomplish this activity. ' Positive self-esteem people are usually fun to be around because they have a 'glass half full' lifestyle. A negative self-esteem person has a "cup fifty percent empty' lifestyle. They are simply always down and can even have a negative influence on people they encircle themselves with.
Negative self-esteem can stem from the family life. Market leaders who had been bullied or teased on at college can go through life thinking the things they were advised. A good head should never compare themselves to another leader whose objectives, ethics, and motives are different than themselves. Checking yourself is not necessarily negative. It could be positive. Comparing can provide you a drive to complete an objective when used in the way in which. Always getting a positive attitude can make the difference between failing and success ("Positive attitude, " 2008). The best advice the author can give is just learn to proceed. Having a good self-esteem and attitude have many benefits including:

Some step to build up a more good attitude and self-concept are:
Consciously try to have and maintain a positive, optimistic attitude.
If you get yourself being negative appropriate it and focus on the positive.
Realize that there are few benefits to negativity.
Holding a grudge only hurts you. Usually the individual you are retaining a grudge against has ignored what they performed to you. They have continued using their life therefore in the event you. Forgive and neglect.

Once you have accepted what's in your thoughts now you can determine how you want to look at that person situation. Realize you might not have a good attitude about someone when it comes to work ethic. That is healthy because you have accepted it and bottom part your decisions on it.
When we live positive, our interactions and thoughts become healthier. You can be more productive in all aspects of your life. This takes its good leader with high self-concept.
Putting everything into perspective, you are a team head in a fortune 500 company. Your supervisor told you to build up a new product that blows the other companies away. First, you must consider you can make this happen goal. Subsequently, choose a team that is positive and believes that the division can accomplish the target too. Now as you are producing your product many lab tests won't go a well planned but consider it a learning process. Through the entire process many team mates may feel they can not accomplish the target. It is you job to keep the positive attitude. Encourage them and build their self-concept. If you catch yourself thinking adversely you must immediately switch to a confident mind set. Whenever a team member accomplishes a little goal or test pat them on the back. Also, congratulate yourself because if one team member accomplishes a goal you all do. Please remember never to let anyone compare themselves to another member. You will find as the deadline approaches that you will most likely accomplish your goal because you kept a positive attitude and assumed in yourself and team.
In conclusion, an optimistic mind set helps a head grow. It helps them grow not only in their professional life but at home too. Possessing a great self-concept will allow you to gain new skills and study from your experiences.
