Benefits of Guided Learning as well as how to Achieve

"Learning is a fundamental process of life. Every specific learns and through learning develops settings of behaviour by which he lives. All human activity and achievements manifest the results of learning. Whether we look at life in terms of culture, the community, or the individual, we live confronted on every side by the pervasive effects of the learning. " (Garry& Kingsley, 1970, p. 3). Though, it will not be only learning but led learning that causes improve and improvement. Led learning is a method, used to generate an independent learner who is able to find the info by himself and take care of his own learning. Through guided learning, just as co- operative learning students can promote their ideas and thoughts and collaborate with one another. When thinking about guided learning, it is better to think about the elements that are related to it, like the role of educators' characteristics and success, the parents' role, what they can do to stimulate their children to be guided learners, how it is applied by giving a good example, and the value of teaching helps and feedback. Guided learning has a great deal of benefits and results on students, teachers, schools and the complete society. The tutor, as an essential part of the educational process, has a great role in motivating, controlling and guiding his students, especially in guided learning. Though educators may face some problems in making a fit environment for an efficient led learning, they can try to find some solutions for these problems.

"Guided learning enables teachers to aid and challenge pupils by intervening in a sustained and proactive way at the point of learning, as pupils read, write, have a discussion, design, make or practise. It helps to build up personalised learning since it is a way of tailoring coaching and learning to the needs of specific pupils to provide set up support and task inside or outside normal lessons to address aspects of progress and specific needs. Guided learning builds pupils' freedom through focused intervention, interaction and cooperation. "(Senior leaders et al. , 2004, p2). In connection with teacher, led learning might not exactly be easy, as it requires an effective educator who have characteristics that permits him to encourage, guide and lead his students. The tutor as helpful information should be well certified, well prepared, trained and prepared. He should also have self- assurance, self-esteem, and eagerness, not only these but also the capability to transfer these characteristics to his students when you are a genuine model for the kids. A teacher will need to have good knowledge of what he demonstrates to to have the ability to guide or direct his students in the right way by revealing to them the actual objectives, he needs them to achieve, and providing them with variety of resources they can use to achieve their tasks. Moreover, the teacher should be versatile to cope with different degrees of students and to have the ability to modify his techniques and solutions to suit his students' needs, backgrounds, cultures, and degrees of intelligence and understanding.

Another consideration that needs to be considered into our bank account is the parents' role, as the learner's life is mainly between his college and his house. Parents have a significant role in the process of guided learning. Their role is mainly related to how they can strengthen and support the guided learner. For instance in Egypt, professors ask the students to do some tasks and activities at home, but sorrowfully some parents do these duties and activities rather than the kids themselves. Parents should only help, encourage and support their children to finish the required duties independently. They could provide their children with different information resources to choose from and discover the right suited ones for every job or activity. They could also provide them with advice or responses on their work at home to allow them to enhance and enhance their work. Another important obligation that parents should pay attention to and take it significantly into their account, is their marriage using their children's schools. They must have good reference to the school to know everything about their child performance and behaviour to have the ability to help boosting the child's performance and changing any undesired behavior. This also strengthens the partnership between your parents and their children. "I expected to take part in my children's education, but in addition to participating in their education, I became informed myself. Us is more directly bonded because of our participation with this children in their education. " (Pendell, 2001, p66) Though we have this in our colleges in Egypt, but it is on a restricted scale and it requires to be widened to achieve better results with parents' and students' performance in the guided learning.

An exemplory case of activating the guided learning inside the course, is using the co-operative learning strategy. Co-operative learning means putting students in small categories to do some duties together to improve their own leaning and reap the benefits of each other experience. Subsequently, this will maximise their contribution and make them responsible for their own learning. In this way students will achieve the required aim of the co-operative learning and also to fill the other person learning gapes. However, obtaining this aim requires a professor with certain attributes such as being a good instructor and guide to have an efficient impact on his students. "For guided work to take place, a powerful learning climate must be established with the whole category, including good behavior and positive connections, clear exercises and well-presented environment. "(Senior market leaders, et al. , 2004, p 3) The teacher should be a good manager by creating a fit environment for the training process; by organising the students into categories and providing them with clear instructions for the duty. He might also rearrange the tables and seats inside the course to help students feel more comfortable and connect easily to finish their process in the limited time. In addition, an effective teacher ought to encourage and encourage his students to take part effectively. They can do that by authentic reward, stimulating and even challenging them from time to time to have them do their best to achieve the teacher's high goals of the duty they will work on. In my own university co-operative learning can be used on a broad range, as students have found it beneficial. For example, transforming the given information into a meaningful dialogue enables these to communicate well with each other. The students find showing their information is a good thing, as it induces every college student to participate and nobody is left behind. "Regardless of the coaching method used, an trainer must properly plan the materials. The lessons do not stand alone in a course of training. There has to be a plan of action to lead instructors and their students through the course in a rational manner toward the required goal. " (Dynamic Flight, 2003)

Furthermore, there is certainly another important component that helps the professor to attain effective guided learning. Furthermore to using different coaching methods and techniques, the professor should use teaching assists such as posters, flash cards and modern tools such as computers and projectors to entice the students' attention and suggest to them how to use different resources to remove the info. "Teachers use educating helps to provide these various ways of learning as well as to improve or reinforce skills and also to make education interesting and fun. "(Cohen, 2010) Nowadays, in Egypt, almost all of the schools widen their use of computer systems and internet by training the educators and the students to utilize and get the advantages of such modern technology. Therefore, this will lead to a new generation that will be able to use this modern technology at the job in the future. However important they are really, a teacher should not be tempted to use them more than they can be needed, and he should devote his account that the unnecessary use of supports can lead to students' distraction, and make them confused about what is being taught. "Always remember which you have many choices, but you do not need to use way too many great features simply for the sake than it. You want to make certain that these techniques improve the materials, provide more information or another type of viewpoint, rather than just be recurring. Also, too many teaching aids can be very puzzling. "(Cohen, 2010)

"More formally, opinions is reactive communication (verbal or non-verbal) showing a reaction-"teaching" through the learner's own work. Opinions can come from professors, peers, the home, or relevant professionals outside the teaching-learning relationship. Working learning requires not only quick but also specific, challenging, catalyzing reviews. Without it the learner is most likely to recycle earlier achievements and mistakes rather than create new information, potential and competence. " (The Ohio Learning Network, 2010) The thought of feedback is vital in the field of guided learning. Responses can be applied on a broad scale between students and himself, students with each other, between a professor and his students, between instructors and the school staff such as the head teachers and mangers. In spite of its importance, it should be given or shown in a friendly polite way that praises and motivates the good things and explains what should be done to enhance or improve what we give feedback on, or provide a real hint that can lead to progress. In my own school I always try to give responses for my students as I have found that it helps them a lot to improve or alter their work. However, getting reviews from students or acquaintances is as important as supplying it, it helps the teacher too, to change his teaching methods to suit and help his students' needs.

Furthermore, the professors may face some obstructions to apply the led learning, like the big volume of students inside the category, the low attainers, the trouble designers and the lazy students who won't work or take part. They can overcome such problems through co-operation, persistence and experience. For example, about the big volume of students, professors can help each other by dividing the class into several groups, however this might not go on long but only at first to set up the basic lines of the guided learning. As for the lower attainers, the professor can involve them in group work and get other students to help them, never to feel left out, and also reward their work to give them self confidence to get involved more. "While one must have some extent of self-confidence before you can make on a task, the take action of starting itself enhances one's assurance in the ability to carry the duty through. "(Bruner& Clinchy, 1966, p72) Although trouble makers can squander the educators' and other students' time, they can perform good results if they're separated from each other. Sluggish students, as well as lower attainers and trouble creators can enhance their performance in the training process all together, if they're motivated effectively by giving them self confidence, encouragement and self-esteem.

Finally, guided learning is an excellent way that helps in creating effective individuals by producing their skills and self-confidence. It enhances the students' capacity to build up their skills and heroes. For example, it can help those to determine their learning problems and look for possible solutions on their behalf, as they reflect on themselves and get responses from others. Thus, they become decision-makers and in charge of their selections and achievements. When you are an independent learner the pupil may be able to use different resources for getting information, activate or improve his creativeness by coming out with his own ideas, selecting the better for the task or job he's dealing with, producing his critical thinking and even reflecting on himself as well as others. Having such characteristics, the learner may be an effective independent one who is able to work for the nice and improvement of his society. "In its best form, Guided Learning is seen as a a shared and genuine sharing of the work that is building community. Which means that faculty, staff, and students collaborate in resolving problems, engage in civil discussion to effect a result of change, and healthfully explore alternatives and consequences. This approach is towards expecting that students should make the changeover to college or university life without accompanying direction and resources. "(Hall, 2009)

To conclude, guided learning is a successful way of teaching, when it is applied correctly. That is why the government, in Egypt, induces and keeps trainings for the instructors to use such useful methods effectively. It may be very tiring at first, as it needs a lot of work, especially from the teacher's part, to get his students accustomed to it, but at the end it somehow lightens the responsibility on the teacher's shoulder blades by becoming a guide. Moreover, led learning needs all work to be included to create an unbiased learner who has the capacity to get the info from different resources, select the best for his work, think about his work and others', and alter or improve his work, after acquiring feedback. Aiding the guided learning needs co-operation and encouragement, not only from the educators, but also from the parents, the institutions and the whole society. As they are all in charge of the learning process, they need to support it to get its benefits.
