Working as part of a team is crucial to effective management within nursing through out practice the importance which team work presents for the team to improve their motivation and establish methods of functioning, that happen to be both successful and effective. The purpose of the task is to describe and discuss The Code, Medical and Midwifery Council (NMC 2008) it suggests as nurses you must work effectively as part of a team. The literature presents the finding that when individuals as part of a team, they feel as if they become part of a group of individuals working towards common goals, which is thought that this presents people with a sense of unity and increased motivation towards their work (Mullins 1995). Through out the assignment it'll show the understanding, discourse and high light issues this increases for nurses. Building on formative experience when working in the component group that may also be discussed. According to Belbin (1993), a medical team may encompass an array of healthcare professional, of which many may form part of different disciplines. This means that the team includes multidisciplinary personnel, each with different speciality and role. Team working with individuals having such a number of skills can therefore act to enhance the amount of patient care, that can be attained by the health care team.

Nursing is a procedure, which requires both a humanistic and intellectual strategy for nursing staff to attain full competency and supply the best level of care to the individual, which possible. Developing a knowledge is what makes a team work( Cottrell 2008 ) being able to interact. As a team member you must be able to communicate, good communication is a two way process, it requires good hearing skills, involvement, help and encouraging you team in obtaining the same goals. After working along in our component team, it was clear the way the dynamic of the group can fail. Several people in the team were very managing also demonstrating no factor towards other people in the group. After a few weeks one person needed leadership which transformed the dynamics of the team, the team are more positive.

After reading this article within the module team Wheatlys (2007) demonstrates effective teamwork. Communication was the main element, by collaborative working along it enable the individual to get the full support and treatment he required. A multi disciplinary team came up together showing knowledge, the procedure of assessment was conducted guaranteeing all of the team became accountable for the treatment provided.

Multi- professional teams that will work regularly with nurses provides different advantages to the team. Each member of the team need to value and understand the contribution of all members for them to get effective team results (Hinchillifetal).

Nurses tend to be not considered to be the principal individuals involved with diagnosis of a patient, how ever in some patient cases, nurses are crucial to the team who make the patient diagnosis. It is though their observation of the patient that gather information can be collected and a distributed to associates who are central to make a diagnosis. It is important that Doctors who finally make the patient diagnosis. They also respect the medical personnel and their views regarding the patients symptoms and causes, and that they make the nurses feel appreciated as members of the multidisciplinary team. That is important because without such treatment, nurses may feel unmotivated and under valued and their work as a team member may be effected.

Every one works in several ways, everyone has talents and weaknesses. It not merely about one individual making decision or doing a job or a task on there own, posting skills enables visitors to learn. In nursing people dealing with nurses of your different technology need to value that they have been performing for longer, and have more experience. Newly qualified nurses have advantages working in a team with older nurses, it provides opportunity to explore new and various ways (Burgess). Nurses which may have been registered for a long period can compare their encounters with those who with less. They could be gaps in your knowledge that could be missing and you need to address them, new experience my arise and you need to be able to deal with them. Problems may occur when people are not considering one another, respecting other people if the team/staff with more skills and experience whilst working collectively must be positive and a interesting learning curve more old with the new. When working in a team you should recognise and value one another, every person in the team is important no matter their tile (Weston )
