ABSTRACT:
Recent century is a packed with technology.
None field can't remain without the utilization of the technology. Agriculture is one of those domains. Agriculture is the backbone of India. Most of the scientists are doing research to increase the cultivate of plants. But one problem remain which is a major concern of the cultivation of crop and that is crop pests. Because of these problems, The cultivation reduces and hence all the farmers and subsequently the country suffers from lack of cultivation of crop.
With the recent improvement in image control and similar related techniques, you'll be able to develop an autonomous system for pest classification. Early on detection of pest or the initial presence of a bio aggressor is a key-point for crop management.
If we're able to find it at the original stage, we can prevent infestations on leaves without dispersing all over the field, which reduces the increased loss of crop and money. Lately, the introduction of the robots in agriculture has agriculture launched. These robots should be capable of working 24 hours per day, in all weather condition.
So if we use robots rather than farmers for detecting the pests on leafs proficiently, we can decrease the lack of crop and money.
I. INTRODUCTION
Agriculture is the backbone of India. Most of the researchers are doing research to improve the cultivity of vegetation. But one problem remain which really is a major matter of the cultivation of crop that is certainly crop pests. Due to these problems, the cultivation diminishes and hence all the farmers and subsequently the country suffers from lack of cultivation of crop. Various kinds of pesticides are there in market which are being used to steer clear of the damage to fruits and vegetable, but the amount of pesticides to be used is not known due to that your cost as well as environmentally friendly pollution gets damaged. A solid demand now prevails in many countries for non-chemical control options for pests or diseases. Greenhouses are believed as biophysical systems with inputs, outputs and control process loops. Many of these control loops are automatized (e. g. , local climate and irrigation control).
However no programmed methods are available which precisely and periodically find the pests on plant life. In fact, in production conditions, periodically observes vegetation and seek out pests. This manual method is too time consuming. Diagnosis is most difficult task to perform manually as it is a function of a number of guidelines such as environment, nutritional, organism etc. With the recent growth in image handling and similar related techniques, it is possible to develop an autonomous system for pest classification. Early detection of infestations or the original presence of an bio aggressor is a key- point for crop management. The detection of biological items no more than such insects (sizes are about 2mm) is a real challenge, especially when considering greenhouses measurements (10- 100m long). For this function different options are undertaken such as manual observation of plants. This method does not give accurate procedures. Hence automatic diagnosis is very much important for early diagnosis of pests. Hence we have to detect the infestations at the earlier stage never to spread all around the field.
If we're able to discover it at the initial level, we can prevent pest on leafs without distributing all over the field, which reduces the increased loss of crop and money. In modern times, the development of robots in agriculture has presented. These robots should manage to working 24 hours a day, in all climate. So if we use robots instead of farmers for discovering the pests on leafs effectively, we can decrease the loss of crop and money.
II. LITERATURE SURVEY
Recent paperwork are explaining to detect mainly pests like aphids, whiteflies, thrips, etc using various methods suggesting the many implementation ways as illustrated and discussed below.
[1] Proposed a cognitive vision system that combines image processing, learning and knowledge-based techniques. They only discover mature level of white travel and count the number of flies on one leaflet. They used 180 images as test dataset. among this images they analyzed 162 images and each image having 0 to 5 whitefly pest. They calculate wrong negative rate (FNR) and phony positive rate (FPR) for test images without whiteflies (category 1), at least one white fly (class 2) and for whole test set.
[2] Extend implementation of the image processing algorithms and techniques to discover pests in controlled environment like greenhouse. Three types of typical features including size, morphological feature (form of boundary), and color components were considered and looked into to identify the three sorts of adult bugs, whiteflies, aphids and journeys.
[3] Promote early on pest detection in green residences based on video recording research. Their goal was to specify a choice support system which deals with a video camera data. They implemented algorithms for detection of only two bioagressors name as white flies and aphids. The system was able to detect low infestation periods by detecting eggs of white flies thus analyzing behavior of white flies.
[4] Suggested pest diagnosis system including four steps name as color alteration, segmentation, reduction in noise and keeping track of whiteflies. A distinct algorithm name as relative difference in pixel intensities (RDI) was suggested
for detecting pest called as white take a flight impacting various leaves. The algorithm not only works for greenhouse centered crops but also agricultural structured plants as well. The algorithm was examined over 100 images of white travel pest with an exactness of 96%.
[5] Proposed a fresh approach to pest diagnosis and positioning predicated on binocular stereo to get the location information of infestations, which was used for guiding the robot to squirt the pesticides automatically. [14] unveiled contextual parameter tuning for adaptive image segmentation, which allows to efficiently tune algorithm parameters regarding variations in leaf color and comparison.
III. EXISTING SYSTEM
In earlier times in order to find the pest on leafs they used early on pest diagnosis in green houses based on video recording evaluation. Their goal was to specify a choice support system which manages a video camera data. They executed algorithms for detection of only two bioagressors name as white flies and aphids. The system could identify low infestation levels by detecting eggs of white flies thus analyzing action of white flies. But this job has many restrictions enjoy it is frustrating process as well as the output will not get effectively. So in order to get rid of these limitations, we are going to proposed something named "pest recognition on leafs by using automatic robot and handling in LabVIEW".
IV. PROPOSED SYSTEM
In this proposed system we are utilizing robots to be able for taking the live images from field section to monitoring section. The images used by the automatic robot processed and the type of disease is displayed accurately. By using this task we can get the output accurately and the sort of disease. Even as we are utilizing LabVIEW (Laboratory Virtual Instrumentation Anatomist Workbench) software, in this software rather than wording there are making use of icons to be able to produce the programs. set alongside the other softwares this software as many advantages enjoy it won't show any problems during executing this program, whereas other softwares even a tiny error is there means we will not get the productivity showing there may be some mistakes, it removes the restrictions in the prevailing system. Once you considered the image and create the school mentioning the type of samples in LabVIEW, definitely we will get the output mentioning the kind of diseases. Workload on farmers is minimized by using these type of system. By making a track for robot it will be worked well properly in slippery and unequal areas. If we use string instead of wheels in the field, automatic robot can work more effectively on unequal surface of the field. Farmers don't have to will end up in the field because robots do their work properly and effectively. Time consumed by the robots for discovering the infestations on leafs is less than mankind, which could work efficiently.

V. WORKING
In block diagram we are using the web
camera to be able to take the live pictures from field section to the monitoring section. We are using high definition web camera model amount (jil-2247). This web camera takes the images of afflicted leaf which can be caused scheduled to pests. Generally we like this kind of web camera since it has high flexibly, as well the cost of this kind of web camera is very less. It'll send live pictures from field section to monitoring section up to 10 meters distance. We are employing wired web camera and this web camera is linked to system through USB cable. This web camera is generally monitored through the system.
Next we are using Arduino UNO. The Arduino Uno is a Microcontroller mother board based on the ATmega328 (datasheet). they have 14 digital input/output pins(of which 6 can be used as PWM outputs), 6 Analog inputs, 16 MHZ crystal oscillator, a USB interconnection, a power jack port, an ICSP header, and a reset button. In this project were making use of only 4 digital input/output pins (i. e. pin no's 8, 9, 10, 11), 5v in and Earth pin. These 4 digital pins works as end result pins and also we are utilizing 5v outcome pin as well as ground Pin. Staying pins we aren't using in this job. These 4pins are linked to 4 relays. Relay is only a move.
A Relay can be an electromechanical move used for just one or even more of the four (4) purposes
1. To carefully turn something ON.
2. To carefully turn something or disable something.
3. To improve the polarity of a wire.
4. To improve the current supply of a wire. With this project we are employing four (4) relays
1. for moving forward
2. for moving backward
3. for moving remaining side
4. for moving right side
The main use of these four relays is to move the automatic robot either onward, backward, left side, right side. Predicated on our request, this relay will be on and move in particular direction.
These four relays are connected to both dc motors. In order to work the dc motors we need power supply, so we are employing 5v battery. Predicated on our request this relay will be on which relay will be connected to dc motors and move in a particular direction. Finally this dc motors are linked to the rims to rotate. Instead of wheels we can use chains, this chains can move in even in uneven flat areas. This robot take the live pictures from field section to monitoring section without the use of human effort and it will finds whether the leaf had induced marks and predicated on the marks it will intimate the type of disease.
VI. SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS
The following will be the software requirements used in this project
i. Exclusive instrumentation ii. LabVIEW
Virtualinstrumentation
Virtual Instrumentation is the utilization of customizable software and modular measurement hardware to set-up user-defined dimension systems, called virtual instruments. The concept of a synthetic device is a subset of the virtual instrument concept. A synthetic instrument is a kind of virtual device that is solely software identified. A synthetic instrument performs a particular synthesis, examination, or measurement function on completely general, dimension agnostic hardware. Electronic tools can still have measurement specific hardware, and have a tendency to stress modular hardware methods that assist in this specificity. Hardware helping synthetic equipment is by description not specific to the way of measuring, nor is it actually (or usually) modular.
Leveraging commercially available solutions, such as the PC and the analog to digital converter, online instrumentation is continuing to grow significantly since its inception in the late 1970s. Additionally, software programs like National Instruments' Lab VIEW and other graphical programming dialects helped expand adoption by which makes it easier for non- programmers to develop systems.
LabVIEW
Lab VIEW (short for Lab Virtual Instrumentation Anatomist Workbench) is a system and development environment for a visible programming language from National Devices. Actually released for the Apple Macintosh in 1986, Laboratory VIEW is commonly used for data acquisition, device control, and professional automation on a variety of programs including Microsoft Glass windows, various flavours of UNIX, Linux, and Macintosh personal computer OS. The programming language used in Laboratory VIEW, is a dataflow words. Execution depends upon the structure of the graphical block diagram.
LabVIEW programs are called exclusive instruments (VIs). Controls are inputs and indications are outputs.
Each VI includes three main parts:
a. Front -panel - The way the user interacts with the
VI
b. Block diagram - The code that controls the program
In LabVIEW, you create a interface by by using a group of tools and items. The user interface is recognized as the front panel. Afterward you add code using visual representations of functions to regulate the front panel objects. The stop diagram includes this code. If planned properly, the stop diagram resembles a flowchart.
VII. SCHEMATIC DIAGRAMS IN LAB VIEW
Front Panel:
When you have created a new VI or selected a preexisting VI, leading Panel and the Block Diagram with the specific VI can look as shown in below figure
In LabVIEW, you build a user interface, or front -panel, with control buttons and indicators. Adjustments are knobs, thrust control keys, dials, and other insight devices. Indications are graphs, LEDs, and other shows.
You build the front panel with settings and indications, which are the interactive input and result terminals of the VI, respectively. Control buttons are knobs, push switches, dials, and other insight devices. Signals are graphs, LEDs, and other exhibits. Controls simulate instrument input devices and supply data to the stop diagram of the VI. Signals simulate instrument end result devices and display data the block diagram acquires or generates.
