- Introduction
The purpose of this report is to identify and confirm the overall methodology where W. A. T. A will perform bricklaying training at WATA, Old Hartford Road, Houghton
WATA recognise the value of undertaking the work in a safe and handled manner and making certain strict guidance and control options are looked after throughout the work. WATA will therefore provide the necessary job management and site guidance to ensure that the highest quality, health and safety expectations are executed and looked after throughout the training course
All WATA and subcontract staff will be qualified to carry out their designated responsibilities during the work. Before commencing focus on site, all employees will receive a site induction, a backup of site rules and a briefing on all relevant health, safe practices and welfare concerns.

6. 0 Methodology
- All trainees will be present at a safety briefing to go over works
- All identifiable risks will be talked about prior to works commencing
- All staff and trainees to wear suited PPE by any means times
- Instructors will show work procedures highlighting risks and safety conditions that could arise
- Trainees will be issued tools from store and will be directed to their work area
- Bricks will be transported from storage space to work site using a wheelbarrow
- Mortar will be blended using a 110volt electric mixer, the mixing machine will be packed by hand and the mortar will be tipped into a wheelbarrow to be transferred to the task area
- When required bricks will be lower by using a hammer and bolster or a petrol abrasive steering wheel cut off noticed. Gloves and goggles will be used when working with hammer and bolster. Gloves, goggles, ear safety and a dust particles cover up will be worn when using the cut off found. A normal water suppression kit will be used all the time when slicing masonry
- Suitable plywood "spot planks" will be utilized for mortar, the planks will be placed on brief stands to lessen bending
- Work areas will be kept clean and tidy as work advances, busted bricks will be carried to the right skip, extra mortar will be scraped up and returned to the stockpile
- All tools and seed will be cleansed and located in the secure storage space device at the end of every day
- All materials will be came back to stockpile and will be safely stacked at the end of every shift
