Media is the 4th pillar of the democracy and when one pillar does not support others, all 4 collapses. marketing is the eye, ear and mouth of the modern culture. its the energy of the powerless, it has social ability and obligations which it its eligible for perform. its powerful and pervading, thouching all areas of the life and contemporary society and influeing the era and modern culture by placing the movements and illustrations. it give a path to the contemporary society and capacity to move towards that route. it has proved to be a dual edged weapon, if use properly it can build a culture and a culture but if misused, it can damage the same. multimedia these days is certainly going through a hard phase where it itself is lost and even making contemporary society confused about the true objectives and ideals of jouranalism. in this time of competition and TRP's, its task for media to maintain the ethics and morality of the profession. every news can not be a company and TRP gaining entertainment, media should figure out how to differentiate where to draw the brand. media's agendas should be clear and clean. Regrettably, the Indian media whether it is printing or audio-visual, they aren't the most sober and older examples of their career. They demonstrate only those handpicked reports which sell (or smell ?), and increase its TRP. The advertising scrutinizes everyone nowadays but would it scrutinize its do it yourself, own deeds ?

Media was doing its exploration in their studio rooms with design and animations, various discussions by the hyperactive presenters. the funnier and absurd part was requesting the viewers by sending text message votes to reckon who the murderer was?whole country was converted into a detective and compelled to discuss about the truth assassinating the character and humanity at the same time. all the journalism related ethics were torn and molested simply for TRP game. First of all, illiterate police officers leaked absolutely private details of Arushi to press and then Press did only feed on it. Whatever happened to a minor's rights of level of privacy? Few things come out of this case for us a culture to introspect. marketing is merely turning itself into a circus and parody of theories and speculations forgetting all the journalistic beliefs and is jogging high on electricity trip and privileges. it didn't value a minor's privileges to personal privacy. with liberty of press, it believes it can do and say anything and get rid of it. why its not able to self-regulate itself even though failing to accomplish that, some external company would be the need of the hour to handle such incidences.
Media can hound anyone who's suspected of anything, splashing their pictures and videos 24 hours on channel. indian news stations are acting in an immature way, as gossip tabloids while pretending to be serious mass media, eventually they will be requiring some introspection. with reduced introspection too much loosetalk is completely unwanted in this country and especially in such instances.
