Four siblings, Peter, Edmund, Susan and Lucy, were evacuated from World War2 to Teacher Digory's country house. There is a huge clothing collection in a single room of his house. The adventure began when four siblings pass through the door of the mysterious attire into Narnia held captive for a hundred years under the spell of the White Witch. Lucy was the first ever to enter Narnia. When she came back the others do not imagine her account of Narnia. But Edmund inserted Narnia too. Finally, however, all four siblings exceeded through the wonderful land. Three of siblings became a member of forces with discussing family pets who are faithful to Aslan(Turkish for lion), the ruler of beast, creator of Narnia. Edmund, however, turned betrayer and went over to the White Witch's castle. Aslan paid the horrible cost of Edmund's betrayal by reducing his life to save lots of the Edmund's life. With Aslan's sacrificed on the Rock Table, the power of magic was shattered. Narnia was freed since Aslan's resurrection. The creatures that the White Witch experienced turned to rock were freed by Aslan. The four siblings put in many years in Narnia, growing up into young adults and reigning as kings and queens during Narnia's Golden Era. Eventually the four siblings went back to their own world.
The Theological Themes
The Chronicles of Narnia - The Lion, the Witch and the Attire- is well known book in the world. THE WRITER C. S. Lewis says several theological themes through this publication. This essay will discuss the theological themes or templates with the Chronicles of Narnia.
First of themes or templates is the temptation. If the White Witch achieved Edmund, she enticed Edmund with Turkish delight. It had been so delicious for him so he desired even more. She requested him, "Son of Adam, I should so much prefer to see your sibling as well as your sisters. Do you want to bring them to me?"
When Edmund acquired Turkish delight, also he had greed. He attempted to bring his family and unveiled the plan that Aslan is gathering military. Because he wanted get some good more Turkish joy and also wanted to be considered a prince. That's results, he was stuck into the jail and Aslan was died. The bible says, "Each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he's dragged away and enticed. Then, after desire has conceived, it gives labor and birth to sin; and sin, when it's full grown, gives birth to fatality (Wayne 1 : 14-15). " Among the problems with sin is addictive. It separates us from God. So, how can we overcome temptation? The bible says, "Submit yourselves, then, to God. Avoid the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7). "
Second of themes or templates is the spiritual gifts. SANTA CLAUS brought gifts for each of siblings. Peter got the sword and shield. Susan got the bow and quiver of arrow. And Lucy acquired a diamond bottle of curing cordial and a dagger. "These gift ideas are tools that will help them fulfill their calling and face up to the challenges. " Jesus dispatched the Holy Heart to each one of us. "Now to each one the manifestation of the Heart is given for the common good (1 Corinthians 12:7). " "All these are the work of one and the same Heart, and he gives those to each one, just as he can determine (1 Corinthians 12:11). " Every one of Christians have own special spiritual gifts from God.
The last of themes are enduring and resurrection. Aslan is a redeemer. Jesus endured and perished on the cross for our sins. The results, we were free of sins by his the redemption. Moreover, he resurrected from the fatality and satisfied the covenant. Aslan is very similar as Jesus. First, he passed on on the Stone desk for Edmund who betrayed him. Subsequently, he resurrected from the death and he establish free those the White Witch has performed captive and turned to stone. The past one is that the Bible instructs us, "He determined no sin, no deceit was within his mouth. When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he endured, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly. He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that people might to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed (1 Peter 2:22-24).
In finish, there are several theological styles in the Chronicle of Narnia. However, this isn't a bible story but fantasy story that predicated on the author's theological trust. I received impression through the writer. Because, every Religious have faith however they don't communicate their beliefs. However, C. S. Lewis indicated his beliefs through his surprise from God that is writing. The more application of gifts is, the better gift items will have.
