William Wordsworth interpersonal point of view

William Wordsworth was born on 7 April, 1770 and died the 23 April, 1850 was an British poet and one of the very most influential writers in English romanticism. Best know for his style and theories that helped to renew the poetry of his country. During his youth he demonstrated a strong interest and love for mother nature which is shown in most of his works. "Wordsworth was created as the second of five children in Cockermouth, Cumberland-part of the scenic region in northwest England called the Lake District". This surroundings deeply afflicted Wordsworth's creativeness and gave him a love of character. "He lost his mother when he was eight and five years later his father. The home problems segregated Wordsworth from his loved and neurotic sister Dorothy, who was simply a very important person in his life" influencing him considerably.

Wordsworth was an important article writer in British romanticism as well as William Blake and Samuel Taylor Coleridge who "helped unveiling the Romantic Years in English literature with the 1798 joint publication, Lyrical Ballads", which really is a key piece of poetry of the charming era. Among the most influential charming poets, he created a unique design of writing which it is dependant on ideals of aspect and creativity. His poetry was mainly predicated on romantic ideas against realism. His fascination with politics, his passion for democracy and good moral beliefs adding his focus on enthusiasm and imagery gives the reader the possibility to explore human thoughts, rejecting the obscure certainty of the 19th century and concentrating on the natural world.

Throughout this essay I will offer an analysis of 1 of Wordsworth's poems, called "London, 1802". Constructed in London, in this poem he tries to talk his criticism of modern culture of the day, longing and eulogizing the occurrence of the 17th century poet John Milton because:

At the time Wordsworth had written this poem, Milton had been established as one of the great British voices. His most famous poem, "Paradise Lost", have been acclaimed as the most outstanding of English epics. Wordsworth's apostrophe to Milton therefore gets the effect of attractive to one of the biggest numbers in the British tradition. It is likely that Wordsworth is considering as much of Milton's connection with the causes of freedom developed during the revolution and interregnum (1642-1660) as of Heaven Lost.

Wordsworth starts the poem by stating "Milton! thou should'st be living as of this hour: England hath need of thee:" He wishes in a build of anger and frustration that Milton were still alive, because England has changed into "a fen", a place filled up with selfish and miserable people and Wordsworth want him to "raise us up, return to us again; And give us manners, virtue, flexibility, power. "

Wordsworth says that England was once a good location to live, packed with happiness, gentleness faith, and books, but those virtues have been lost by the revolution and the industrialization of the country in his time. He can only just identify the England in 1802 as a swampland.

Wordsworth tries to make clear why he believes Milton is the savior of England in:

"Thy heart was like a Celebrity and dwelt aside:

Thou hadst a tone whose sound was like the sea;

Pure as the naked heavens, majestic, free, "

He identifies Milton as an extremely powerful man who he provides capability of moral efficiency and a Important man who never ceased to do something humbly also the man who has the surprise to make individuals to think about what was going on and what they are lacking in that time plus the rest of the ideals and principles in what England is missing.

The author also speaks to be stagnant in:

"Of stagnant waters: altar, sword and pen,

Fireside, the heroic wealth of hall and bower,

Have forfeited their early English dower"

Here Wordsworth uses icons and images to describe the situation of England. He uses an altar to refer religion which could mean that there is no point of being religious and all the spirituality has been lost and people are losing his trust.

He also discusses a sword which perhaps he's talking about the military forces perhaps he did it because England was not strong enough as it been before or perhaps is not efficient to battle crime also I think that he is discussing the government, because "the early 19th century was an era of political and social unrest in Britain. " The federal government failed to fulfill the population creating poverty, infuriating people because they were losing their jobs and being changed by machines triggering unemployment, air pollution, child labor issues in addition to some other unethical or moral failures that folks could possessed.

And the final image, the pen, which clearly means literature, Wordsworth could make reference to the author's lack of ideals or maybe all those virtues that are changing and because of that, they get lost in time and finally I consider that Wordsworth was wanting to compare the other creators with the quality of the works of Milton.

The poem has two main purposes, the foremost is the intent of Wordsworth to encourage people to appreciate the beautiful about aspect and his beauty by crying out to Milton wishing him to be alive in that time and teach to those people who not appreciate or understand the value of the nature, their area and the magnificence of stay in a community. Within the other hand he wanted to draw the focus on the English social problems that he were facing in the 19th century blaming the cultural institutions and people themselves for the problems of population that can also be applied in today's time by our emotions toward materialism that people have nowadays.
