Lisa Jane Smith was born Sept 4, 1965 and she lives in California. She is an American writer and her catalogs are young-adult books, horror, research fiction/dream and romance. She has written three trilogies, two series and two associate novels. Her books are popular and the personas are extraordinarily beautiful people, individual and supernatural and the majority of them are young, or at least almost younger. She is mainly known for The Vampire diaries series, which is currently a Television show and it's predicated on her publication series.
Plot:
In the first book the The Awakening, we got to know that Elena, who is a popular senior high school student, falls deeply in love with Stefan Salvatore. He is a vampire, and he has a brother known as Damon Salvatore. They aren't exactly friends, because about 500 years before they both treasured a girl named Katherine. Stefan was hoping to marry her, however the romance was complicated because Katherine also was in love with Damon too. Katherine is a vampire, and she flipped Stefan and Damon to vampires. Damon and Stefan hated each other, because they both cherished Katherine. Elena finds out that she and Katherine looks exactly like one another, and she realizes that Stefan is a vampire. Later she also finds out that Damon is deeply in love with her. The book ends with Elena who is desperately trying to find Stefan because he has disappeared.
The struggle starts off with Elena aiming to ask Damon about Stefan's disappearance but Damon won't help her, because she rejects his love. Elena gets help from her friend, Bonnie McCullough. She is a witch, and she has power to find Stefan. They realizes that Stefan is captured in a well, and he is almost dying. He gets help by Elena and her friends, and survives from the blood vessels Elena gave him from herself. On the other hand, Caroline Forbes, who is Elena's ex-best friend, stole her diary. The diary has a lot of Elena's magic formula which Stefan is a vampire, but Elena later discovered that Damon has taken the journal from Caroline, and he offered it to her. Elena thanks a lot him, but then Damon finds out that Elena and Stefan are engaged.
Setting:
Mysticfalls, Virginia: The complete story happens in Mysticfalls. Enough time is our time, because the individuals in the book use mobiles a great deal and drives vehicles. They also don't talk like people does in old time; they speak like peoples talk now inside our time and the places appears to be modern. Just like the high school each goes on, they have got allowed having vehicles on the school's auto parking place.
Renaissance Florence, The overdue fifteenth century in Italy: It has a whole lot of effect on the content, because in the first e book the whole history starts here, because Stefan and Damon fought over Katherine. Both hoped to merry her, and because of that they hate each other.
Genre:
The catalogs genre is horror, dream, relationship and young-adult fiction.
Point of view:
The narrator of the publication is the writer; she actually is what you call omniscient. Former mate: "Yes, " Stefan said. She is in the head of the character types, and tells how the characters are feeling and what they are planning.
Character research:
Elena Gilbert: She actually is seventeen years old, and has pale golden hair, also blond. She actually is slender and she has sky blue eye. She is popular, and she is high school senior. She is referred to as a girl who is so beautiful that she can have any boy she desires, and every young lady wants to end up like her. She is confident and daring, because in the first publication Stefan instructs her that he's a vampire, but she had not been scared in any way and also because she gave Stefan blood from herself. She actually is a strong identity in my opinion, because she isn't like depending on Stefan, she doesn't need someone to protect her so when she means something, she says it.
Stefan Salvatore: He is secret. He has a low fat, flat-muscled body, and he has wavy and dark colored hair. He is merely average height. He's good vampire because he only drinks animal's blood vessels, but he's weaker than Damon because he only drinks animal's blood, and Damon drinks human blood. Human blood vessels makes vampires more "powerful". He's "the good" brother.
Damon Salvatore: He is "captivating" and dangerous. He has dark eyes, dark beauty and beauty and he have sensuality that drew women to him. He wears clothes that are dark-colored, and he has an attractive smile. In my own opinion he's very funny, because he always says something funny. He wants revenge against Stefan, and he falls in love with Elena, but he gets very irritated because Elena rejects him. He is very strong because he drinks human blood vessels, and he's very challenging. His first love was Katherine, but she was also deeply in love with his sibling Stefan, and which makes him hate Stefan quite definitely.
Theme:
First of all I think the writer want to reveal that vampires aren't always bad, and they do not always drink or needs human's bloodstream.
I also think the theme is commitment, because Elena is very dedicated. She actually is popular and beautiful, and she can have any son she desires but she never cheated Stefan, when he vanished.
My impression:
I really like this reserve series. It's really enjoyable, there's always took place something that makes you wants to read increasingly more. I also really liked the people, especially Damon. He's extremely funny, and much more interesting than Stefan, who in my own view is boring. Even though the books are actually good, I like the TV show best. I am obsessed with the TV show, and it includes more action and secret.
Recommendation:
I would recommend this book or this book series largely to young girls but guys might such as this too, because my buddy prefers it, especially it show. I don't think boys will like the book as much as girls because it's about love triangle and it's really girly. I believe teenagers would like this book series, 14-18 years old girls or maybe boys.
